Not true, take a gander at the Healing specs. It's less of an issue due to dual-spec, but that also depends on what you're doing in the game. A competitive PVE healer or tank is likely to have two healing or tanking specs. They don't make mistakes "very often" because they do huge ban waves (once or twice a year, at most). In those ban waves, which cover an estimated 100-500k accounts, there are a lot of false positives. They tend to get less publicity than Guild Wars bans. Check out the ban in Oct/Nov before the Burning Crusade was released. A significant portion of those bans were placed on Linux users using things like WINE to run world of warcraft in a windows-like environment.

The fact that the OP of this topic stated after he got a reply was, oh well time to move to a new game, would suggest he did do something wrong, instead of fighting for the account back.

Whether or not hes guilty is one thing, but with Anet getting to many innocent players banned and just throwing them back with the, we have closed the case tough luck, makes me really wonder about buying GW2.

i have no way given up on getting my account back but up to now all my emails are going un answered
but i will keep trying
i am totaly inocent of botting or cheating in anyway

If you haven't gotten a response from NCSoft support you can try emailing [email protected] and put WRONGFUL BAN in the subject line. Give them all your account info (they don't need your password) and the ticket number from your support contact. Can't you get a refund?

If i ever get a wrongful ban for farming I'll try to get a refund for all my purchases and i bought everything including panes, makeover & BMP

@MrTickle - the answer is no. If you violate the rules then you have no basis for a refund. It would be like asking the state for a refund on your driving license after the court suspends it.
